Privacy
Your family's birth details are personal, and a child's most of all. Here is plainly what we do with them.
In short
- We use birth details for one thing: your reading.
- We never sell them, share them for advertising, or use them for anything else.
- We keep them for 12 months after delivery, so we can fix a detail or resend your file, then delete them.
- Write to us and we delete them sooner.
Who looks after your data
The Starmates is responsible for your data. It is run by Anna-Maria Videnova, a sole trader registered in Bulgaria (БУЛСТАТ on request). You can reach us at hello@thestarmates.com.
What we collect
For a reading: the names, dates, times and places of birth of the people in the reading, how they are related, your email address and the details of your order.
For the waitlist: your email address, the reading you would like, your child's age if you choose to give it, and the language you prefer.
On this website: the cover maker and the gift card maker work only inside your browser. What you type there is not sent to us. Your browser remembers whether you chose the sun or the moon view, and nothing else.
Why we use it
To calculate the chart, write and design your reading, send it to you, and answer your questions about it. That is the contract between us. For the waitlist, we write to you because you asked us to, and you can leave the list at any time. We also keep the records that accounting law requires, such as invoices, which do not include birth details.
Children's details
A child's birth details reach us from a parent or guardian. With a gift card, the parents enter the details themselves, so the person giving the gift never has to. We use a child's details only for the reading their family ordered.
How long we keep it
Birth details and the finished reading: 12 months after delivery, so that we can correct a detail, resend a lost file, or prepare your next reading without asking you again. Then we delete them. Waitlist emails: until you leave the list. Invoices: for as long as Bulgarian accounting law requires.
Who else handles it
Only the services we need to make and deliver a reading: our email provider (Google Workspace), our mailing list service (MailerLite) and, once orders open, the payment provider. Drafts of the written text are made with the help of an AI service, which receives the chart details needed to write them. AI service and its data terms: to confirm
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or take a copy with you. Write to hello@thestarmates.com and we answer within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or the data protection authority where you live.
